Founded in 2020, the Parker’s Community Fund was created by a generous donation of $20 million, from Greg Parker & Parker’s Kitchen to give back to the communities where we do business.

To achieve that goal, the Parker’s Community Fund has identified four areas of focus:

Education, Healthcare, Hunger, Heroes.

Round Up

Campaign

As part of our ongoing commitment to give back to the community and to be a force for positive change, Parker’s has teamed up with the Parker’s Community Fund to launch a new Round Up Campaign. Customers can choose to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar at all Parker’s and Parker’s Kitchen retail stores across coastal Georgia and South Carolina. We’re thrilled to match 25% of each customer donation. Donations benefit a rotating series of nonprofit organizations through the Parker’s Community Fund, which supports area 501(c)3 organizations dedicated to making a positive, measurable impact in key focus areas, including education, healthcare, heroes, and hunger.

In 2022 Parker’s Kitchen proudly partnered with Union Mission to create Parker’s House: A Home for Women. Parker’s House is the first and only shelter solely dedicated to unaccompanied women experiencing homelessness, along the I-95 corridor from Florida to South Carolina. We partnered with Parker’s House to help the fight to end homelessness in our communities through our most recent round-up campaign and were able to raise over $190,000. All generated donations will go to helping Parker’s House, Grace House: A home for men, and Magdalene House: For women and Children. Join us by rounding up your transaction to the next dollar. Your change can make a change!

As we enter the season of giving, we will again be partnering with America’s Second Harvest of Georgia and Lowcountry Food Bank of South Carolina to help the fight to end hunger in our communities. Our mission is to be the driving force behind eradicating childhood hunger across the Coastal Empire and Low Country. In past campaigns we were able to raise over $414,000 to help those who suffer from food insecurity. Our goal for this campaign is to raise $150,000 to help eliminate childhood hunger. We are extremely proud to say that we have been able to provide over 2 million meals since starting our partnership.

Fueling The

Community

Parker’s originally started the Fueling the Community program in 2011 because we wanted to give back to local public and private schools and to support education in a meaningful way. We believe that education has the power to uplift communities while reducing poverty and crime. Education truly is the tide that lifts all ships. We’re incredibly honored to support teachers, staff and students in the areas where we do business.

Donations

PARKER’S EMERGENCY & TRAUMA CENTER:

Parker’s decided to expand our community outreach beyond education in 2014. We provided a $1 million donation to help begin a major renovation and expansion of Memorial Health’s emergency department and Level 1 trauma center in the heart of Savannah, Ga. The center has been named the Parker’s Emergency & Trauma Center in honor of Parker’s Convenience Stores.

$5 MILLION GIFT TO ROPER ST. FRANCIS FOUNDATION

A landmark $5 million gift from the Parker’s Community Fund will establish the Roper St. Francis Foundation Parker’s Community Impact Fund, which will support community health initiatives and the caregivers of Roper St. Francis Healthcare. The Parker’s Community Impact Fund will support programs at the core of Roper St. Francis Healthcare’s not-for-profit mission.

Parker's House:

In 2021, Parker’s partnered with Union Mission in Savannah, GA to create Parker’s House: A Home for Women. This facility is the first and only shelter for unaccompanied women experiencing homelessness in Coastal Georgia. Parker’s House provides wrap-around emergency housing and comprehensive services for up to 32 women at a time. Within our first 90 days of opening we were able to help 71 women!

GSU Parker College of Business:

I truly believe in education’s power to transform lives and have a strong commitment to giving back to the community.

By making this gift to the College of Business at Georgia Southern University, I hope to make a lasting impact on the business community in coastal Georgia.

GSU Parker College of Business:

The Parker College of Business was founded in 2018 with a generous donation of $5,000,000 from Parker’s to Georgia Southern University.

One of our guiding principles is serving our community, specifically through funding for better education. By investing in GSU, which educates young people mostly from our own area, we’re investing in the future of our local business community.

With this donation Parker also created the GSU Parker’s Business Scholar Program. The Parker Business Scholars Program (PBSP) provides personalized leadership development through innovative coursework, enriching experiential learning opportunities and a challenging service project. Students who are selected for the program will gain access to exclusive field experiences, guest speakers and enhanced responsibilities that will help set them apart as future leaders and sought-after employees.
